A calcined kaolin pigment that is the standard of the coating industry. Used in interior paints, interior/exterior paints, traffic paint, electrical wire and cable, filled polyamides, pharmaceutical closures, and other applications.

DBCal is a dehydroxylated aluminum silicate produced by a controlled, high-temperature heating of a water fractionated kaolin. DBCal offers high whiteness and good opacifying properties. DBCal finds application in both solvent and water based coating systems as an extender for titanium dioxide and other prime pigments. DBCal, because of its medium-course particle size, provides good sheen control adn excellent scrub resistance.
